I’m Robert and I make things from wood. Things like jewellery, novelties, household items and signs. All sorts really.
I have always had a strong interest in woodworking, in fact it was childhood hobby of mine as I was lucky enough to have a father who had a well equipped and large sized workshop. As I grew up and things like getting an education and having to start a 9-to-5 job took over my time I lost interest in the hobby. But a few years ago something reignited my interest and I started equipping the little shed in our back yard with various random tools.
Since then I have developed a passion for making thing from materials such as oak, walnut and mahogany. All the wood I use is either reclaimed from furniture or structural lumber that was going to be disposed of, or from off-cuts that saw mills were going to sell for firewood.
The design of my pieces is inspired the world around me. Irish and Celtic motifs are prominent as I am Irish and live in Ireland, but I am also inspired by animals, nature and the people around me.
All my pieces are made from reclaimed or salvaged materials, such as discarded pallets, old furniture and timer merchant off-cuts. I am very keen on the whole Eco-friendliness thing.
Everything I make is made by hand in my shed. I don’t use CNC or any other form of automation when I cut my pieces. Everything I sell is truly hand made.
I do hope you enjoy look around my store and find something you like. If you don’t find anything to your taste, I am open to creating custom pieces. If that interests you or if you have any other questions, please feel free to get in touch with me,
